As a man what role would I be allowed to have oh great one?
You could start with washing my car!! Clean the house, watch the kids and well other manly duties too.
What do think ladies? Could we get this started and turn our men into our servants?

dear friends and fellow sojourners,.
i have not had much time to post here and i miss you all horribly.
even as i start this topic, i worry that i will not have the time to babysit it as i should but i just wanted to bleed out some of my thoughts after a visit with my mother and brother recently--thoughts that you and only you will understand.. i have not seen my mother in over a year.
(((((Bridgit)))) I know only too well how you are feeling. It's sad that faceless people on the internet feel more like family than your blood family does.
i've been studying with the jw's for a few months and i've attended a few meetings but things are feeling somewhat strange...i don't quite get the jist of things but i feel that i'm learning more of what the watchtower teachers and less of what the bible actually says.. i never open my bible.. i'm always reading the watchtower pamphlets.
i really like the people i've met in the congregation and the guy thats been doing the studies with me has been an awesome friend.. .
but i'm just having some issues.. i mean.. they translated their own bible to suit their own doctrines it seems.
Hi Michael.
I would like to know which bible translation you are reading. I find it helps to have a few translations, gives a good balance to what you are reading. The NWT is not very accurate.
i thought it might be nice to see some positive things mentioned about jw's.
now, i know mentioning these things may be hard given the experiences here, but i've yet to find a group of people who don't have something positive about them.
if there weren't something positive, no one would ever join.
The "Borg" is bad but yes, there are good souls among the masses of Dubs
I agree with that! I know my mom tries her best to live up to what she has been taught. She is one of the very few people I know that refuses to gossip about anyone. If someone strarts their sentence with "Have you heard about so and so" She just answers "No I haven't and I don't want to know either. Whatever they've done is between them and Jah and we should not be talking about it behind their backs." That usually stops the gossiper in their tracks! She is otherwise totaly misguided and her engergies totaly misplaced but I think the world would be a better place if we all stop gossiping.
1) don't want to deal with it at meetings is what i think would be on the top of the list.they see what others have to go through.. 2) i know a married couple jws, that are avoiding having kids, and i've heard of reasons from them like.... "don't want to raise them up in this system".
"time is too short".
"i'll wait until the next system of things".
I don't know if young JW still have that mind set. I wanted kids and told my hubby before we got married and thank goodness he aslo wanted children. Both my sister in laws also wanted children the one has two kiddies and the other has three. Some of my friends never had children but they didn't want any from teenage years their decision didn't have anything to do with the JW mind set. I know of a special pioneer who said she didn't want children in this system while she was single but changed her mind after she got married and had five children. She now no longer goes to the meetings! Too many kids to organise and get ready for weekly punishment meetings.
i have not noticed any posts from crumpet.
.
what gives?.
Hi Nina
I hope you find all the happiness you deserve. I will miss your humour. Let us at least know how the exams went.

while you still were jws did any doubting jw ever try to talk to you about the flaws of the org and instil in you some doubt?
someone had told me that he didn't believe the gb members were straight and honest people that many of their ideas were wrong and that they had a secret agenda to pursue beyond the one they publicly proclaimed.
at the time i thought he may be right since they seemed to control everything and didn't allow anyone to contribute even the (so called) anointed.
Having survived all that though, I still believe we are where we are today - because of where we were yesterday.
I agree with you Nellie, I too believe that who I am today is a direct result of my past experience good and bad. I must say I like who I am right now and I feel comfortable in my skin most of the time!
I have been approached by JW with doubt but at the time I still really believed so I just told them to pray more or somethin like that! I know the one guy is out but his life took a turn for the worst, he's on drugs and has been in jail a few times. Has kids he never sees and in general is struggling to keep it together.
wow this is more severe than even i would post what goes around comes around...you can't assault millions of victims without repercussions http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&tab=wn&ie=utf-8&q=jehovah+witness on the news wire the people speak: religious group changes bible text.
muskogee daily phoenix, ok - 14 minutes ago.
jehovahs witnesses go to meetings twice a week to train and learn how to manipulate people into questioning their belief and doubting their faith.
Most R & F JWs believe that they are truely following God so I don't agree "that one is a demon and the other a demon in training." Often two JW of equal standing (two pioneers ) will go out together. When someone starts to rant and rave they better have all their facts right or they just come out sounding like lunatics themselves.
thought this would be interesting.
easy subject.

i've been invited to join the freemason's.
the story behind this happening is this.
i was talking to a guy i know very well, and i noticed he had a masonic emblem {the compass and square} on his ring.
My boss is an ex mason. He said he couldn't carry on because some of the rituals did not go down well with his Christian conscience. He doesn't say what those rituals were and doesn't really talk about it much. I know that he was chairman at one time and was very busy cause he had to visit other lodges. My husband grandfather was a mason until he died a few years ago he also didn't talk about it much.
